12-Day Tour
Day 1
Meet and greet at Dublin airport.
The first stop will be in the medieval city of Kilkenny.
A visit to the magnificent Kilkenny castle and gardens will be a wonderful way to begin your first day in ireland.
There will be plenty of good options for some midday lunch and stroll the small streets and shops of Kilkenny.
And we can finish off with a visit to the ancient St. Canice's cathedral, which has a very colourful history.
This will be the first of 3 nights at a hotel in the county Tipperary town of Clonmel.
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast, it will be time to visit the world famous Rock of Cashel, Holycross Abbey, which has a relic of the true cross will also be on the list, and Cahir castle.
Saint Patrick's well, where Patrick himself baptised the locals in the 5th century will also be visited.
Day 3
Time to go to the sea, and more especially the Copper Coast of county Waterford.
On the way, you will visit the Mahon Falls in the Comeragh mountains, and drive the "Magic Road".
You can stop off at some of the lovely little stony, sandy coves along the way, and possibly paddle in the waters of the Celtic Sea.
The drive will take you into the oldest city in Ireland, Waterford.
Day 4
You will leave the south east, and head towards the south west, driving over the Knockmealdown drive, which has some amazing scenic views sweeping across the several counties of the south east.
The town of Lismore, which has a fabulous castle as a focal point will be on the photographic list.
The last port of call for Titanic, Cobh harbour will also be a good stop, and visit one of Ireland's most beautiful cathedrals, St. Colmans.
Two nights in the county Kerry town of Killarney.
Day 5
A drive around the Ring of Kerry, taking in Torc waterfall, Ladies view, Molls Gap, and some breathtaking views of the Lakes of Killarney.
Take in some traditional Irish music and dance in the local pubs.
Day 6
A short drive to the Dingle peninsula, stopping at Inch beach for a stroll along the sandy coastline, and we will take you to the area known as the Slea Head. Magnificent views of the Blasket islands and visit the Blasket heritage centre at Dunquin.
A one night stay in one of Dingle's top hotels awaits, before sampling the top restaurants and nighttime entertainment in this small, but vibrant town.
Day 7
Leaving the town of Dingle, and county Kerry, we will bring you along the Wild Atlantic Way. Crossing the river Shannon estuary, and into county Clare, there will be great coastal views all the way. Towns like Lahinch, Liscannor, and Spanish Point will be on route, before we arrive at the world famous Cliffs of Moher.
A one night stay in Doolin.
Day 8
We will continue our journey along the Wild Atlantic Way, going through the Burren region, a UNESCO site and one of Ireland's 6 national parks.
You will arrive in Galway city in plenty of time to enjoy the street entertainment, and enjoy the cafès and shopping areas of the Latin Quarter.
This will be the first of a 2 night stay in Galway.
Day 9
Go west, and into the Connemara region to see a totally different side of ireland, which is more mountainous, lots more lakes, rivers, and see how turf is cut from the peat to provide a source of heating for people locally in their homes.
Kylemore Abbey, village of Linnane, and Lough Inagh will be visited. Perhaps even, an opportunity to "feed the sheep".
Day 10
A short drive into county Mayo, visiting the village of Cong, (where The Quiet Man movie was shot), Ashford castle, Doo Lough valley, Croagh Patrick, and a one night stay in the beautiful town of Westport.
Day 11
A drive back eastwards towards Dublin, but we will make some stops in Athlone to visit Ireland's oldest pub, Sean's Bar.
And, visit the town of Trim where the castle scenes for the Mel Gibson movie, Braveheart was shot.
One night in a hotel in Trim.
Day 12
Sadly, it will be time to say goodbye, as we drop you off at Dublin airport.
The sun will now have set on your tour of Ireland, and you shall take with you lots of wonderful memories of the Emerald isle with you.
